It was an atmosphere of sheer excitement and camaraderie at Quex Park on the 30th of September. The tranquil setting was transformed into a lively battleground, thanks to an exhilarating Gel Battle Royale!
Organized by our Weekend Activities Coordinator, Mr Ravenwood, this unique event was aimed at approximately 90 boarding students who chose to spend their exeat weekend on site. Judging by the excitement, cheers, and laughter, it was a day thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The beauty of Quex Park enhanced the experience. With its sprawling greens and scenic backdrop, it provided a perfect arena for strategy, teamwork, and some good-natured competition. Teams rallied, took strategic positions, and engaged in playful bouts, all under the watchful eyes of safety supervisors at Quex Park.
But the day was not just about the battle. Post the adrenaline-filled event, the park echoed with the boarders’ chatter as they leisurely explored the surroundings, reliving their favourite moments from the game and soaking in the beauty of nature.
Students particularly enjoyed meeting the ducks and goats, and playing on the zip line and trampoline park.
The event stands as a testament to how extracurricular activities can greatly enrich the boarding experience at St Lawrence College. A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ravenwood and the entire organising team for making this memorable day possible!
