Students in our Sixth Form continue to achieve remarkable success, securing prestigious offers from top universities across the UK. So far, 2025 destinations include Russell Group institutions such as UCL, Manchester, Bristol, Bath, York, Birmingham, Sheffield, and Warwick—highlighting the academic excellence and ambition of our pupils.
These offers span a diverse range of subjects, including Humanitarian Studies, Japanese, Law, Chemical Engineering, Finance, Economics, Sports Science, and Psychology, reflecting the broad opportunities available to our students. Students are also having a high level of success in vocational courses such as Pharmacy, Architecture and Physiotherapy as a result of the specialist interview preparation they receive.
Our success is built on a strong foundation of tailored careers support through the new whole school careers programme, ensuring each student receives personalised guidance throughout their journey. From expert-led careers provision, including Careers Focus Week incorporating the new Careers Fair showcasing a wide range of industries, universities and apprenticeship providers to mentoring from Old Lawrentians who share valuable insights and experiences, we help students make informed decisions about their futures. Whether they aspire to university, apprenticeships, or direct employment, our dedicated careers programme led by our Head of Careers, Michele Semlyen, is designed to inspire and support them every step of the way.
Kirsten Parker, Deputy Head Academic, commented: “We are very keen to support every student and help them to achieve their goals. Whether it’s university or an apprenticeship, we want students to realise their potential and guide them in their journey. We are very proud of the futures our pupils progress to.”
Our Sixth Form offers a dynamic and supportive environment where students can thrive academically and prepare for the future with confidence.
