St Lawrence College’s Movember fundraising campaign has been a resounding success, thanks to the creativity and generosity of the entire school community. From Pie a Teacher events to car washes, bake sales, pool tournaments, and even a rowing challenge, students and staff came together to raise awareness and funds for men’s health.
The campaign, which aims to support key initiatives around men’s physical and mental health, has already raised an impressive total of £1,954. This includes contributions from the planned events, which were designed to be both fun and impactful. The Pie a Teacher event, a fan favourite, attracted a large number of participants.
The rowing challenge, a particularly unique initiative, saw participants taking to the sports gym where they virtually rowed to Twickenham. Each event, no matter how big or small, brought the St Lawrence College community closer together, demonstrating the strength of collective effort and the shared commitment to making a difference. As the campaign drew to a close, the school geared up for the Final Le Crunch Games where the final score was a draw.
The funds raised will go towards supporting Movember’s work in men’s health, funding initiatives that focus on mental health awareness, prostate cancer research, and other critical issues affecting men’s well-being.
This successful campaign highlights the spirit of Generosity, Connectivity, and Awareness that is central to the St Lawrence College community.
