St Lawrence College Junior School Speech Day held in our beautiful Chapel marked the end of yet another outstanding academic year. The event was a celebration of the children’s hard work, dedication, and achievements, highlighting both individual successes and the strength of the Junior School community.
One of the standout moments of the day was the recognition of our Year 6 leavers’ remarkable success in the Kent Test with 83% of candidates selected – a figure four times the Thanet average. Moreover, two-thirds of those passing the Kent Test have chosen to continue their journey with us, moving up to the Senior School and joining Kirby House, the home to Years 7 and 8.
The day was also an opportunity to celebrate the diverse talents of our children, beyond the classroom. Our commitment to providing a broad and balanced education is demonstrated through our success in LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), with all children passing their exams, and one pupil achieving 100% in his performance.
