Our Art Department is beaming with pride as three of its talented student artists have achieved remarkable success in prestigious art competitions, showcasing the extraordinary talent nurtured within the school.
In a stunning display of creativity and skill, Arabella was a prizewinner in her age category at the Canterbury Art Prize. Well done Arabella!
Adding to the school’s accolades, Lower Sixth Form pupil Lara achieved a remarkable milestone by having one of her artworks accepted into an exhibition by The Royal Society of Miniature Painters. Not only was her piece showcased among the best, but Lara also clinched first prize as the Young Miniature Artist of the year. This phenomenal achievement underscores Lara’s exceptional talent and dedication, making her recognition well-deserved.
The accolades continue with our brilliant scholar, Tara, who placed second nationally in the 2024 Rotary Young Artist Competition. Tara’s journey to this national recognition was a testament to her perseverance and artistic prowess, as she advanced through the district heats to compete among 18 districts across the country. Her second-place finish is an incredible achievement, highlighting her as one of the nation’s top young artists.
St Lawrence College congratulates Arabella, Lara, and Tara for their outstanding achievements and we look forward to their future accomplishments in the world of art.
