After a long and challenging school year, our Year 5 children enjoyed a much-deserved day of fun and relaxation at Ramsgate Beach on Friday 7th June. The trip, filled with exciting activities and delightful treats, provided a perfect start to the weekend.
The children kicked off the day with a beach art competition, Kwik cricket followed and the sandcastle-making competition was a hit, with towering structures and intricate designs. Football and gymnastics sessions kept the energy high, as the children played spirited matches and performed impressive routines on the sandy shores. The beach’s natural beauty and sunny weather added to the day’s enjoyment, making it a memorable outing for everyone involved.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the ice cream break, where Year 5 indulged in their favourite flavours, cooling off from the summer heat. As the afternoon wore on, the children gathered for some shade and snacks, providing a chance to relax and recharge before heading back to school.
“This trip was a wonderful way to reward Year 5 for their dedication and effort throughout the year,” said Mr Jonathan Stone, Year 5 teacher, “Seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter was the best part of the day.”
