Barclays Bank Workshop for Year 5 and 6 pupils

Posted: 30th September 2021

Thank you to Barclays Bank for the brilliant live online workshops for our Year 5 and 6 pupils covering Fraud, Scams & Cyber Security and Future-proofing your profile.

Mrs Rowe commented on the excellent session led by Asif, ‘Our Digital Eagle coach for the session was Asif, who combined high-quality professional advice with a good sense of humour and an ability to adjust the content to the children interests and the variety of questions they asked during the workshop. As an online session, this was convenient for everyone, and also gave the children a further level of computing experience in connecting with someone in another part of the country. Equipping the children to keep themselves safe online is such a valuable lesson’.

It was wonderful to hear such positive feedback from Asif after the session, ‘Firstly I would like to say what a pleasure it was presenting to the Year 5 and 6 students. They were so polite and listened inventively to what was being said. I loved the stories they had to share and the questions asked – all relevant to the session. Our aim is to educate students around fraud, scams and the impact of their digital footprint. It’s important to us that we catch and educate kids at an early age to be able to imbed the good practices to stay safe online and also to understand the importance of having a positive digital footprint. The sessions were great and I look forward to running more in the future!’
