Following a fantastic day for our A Level pupils on Tuesday, this morning our Year 11 pupils celebrated some excellent GCSE results.
Barney Durrant, Head of College said, “Our GCSE pupils have done exceptionally well, in the face of very difficult circumstances. It is testament to their dedication, resilience and hard work that they have gained such excellent grades. We are very proud of all of them”.
The Deputy Head Academic at St Lawrence College, Ben Pennells, said “Despite the significant impact on their school experience in both year 10 and 11, our GCSE cohort has demonstrated extraordinary resilience and flexibility in achieving a fantastic set of results. They have adapted with great maturity to the online teaching throughout each lockdown and demonstrated excellent progress despite the these challenges. 79% of our pupils achieved 9-6 grades and our two top performers – Karim and Lina – achieved grade 9 in eight of their subjects. We are incredibly proud of all of our pupils’ outcomes”.
A huge well done everyone!
